These Terms of Service (the "Terms") set out the conditions under which ZERO ORIGIN (hereinafter "we" or "us") provides the mobile application "Werewolf Cloister / 人狼回廊" (the "App"). By using the App, you (the "User") are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.
Application
These Terms apply to every relationship between the User and us concerning the use of the App. Any additional notices or supplementary terms separately posted in the App or on our website also form part of these Terms; in the event of conflict, those individual provisions shall prevail.
Nature of the App
The App is a single-player AI title in which the User, as the sole human participant, debates with AI characters and plays the game of werewolf.
- The utterances of AI characters within the App are automatically generated by large language models and do not represent the views of any specific individual or organization.
- AI utterances may contain incorrect information, inappropriate expressions, or inconsistent reasoning. The User uses the App with knowledge of this.
Account
The App is designed for local use on the device and, in principle, may be used without registration. Coin purchase history is managed in association with the User's App Store account.
Coins and Stars
- "Coins" are an electronic in-app currency that we provide and that the User spends to begin a game.
- "Stars" are a supplementary currency obtained by watching rewarded video ads. They may be exchanged into coins at a fixed rate (25 stars → 1 coin).
- Coins and stars, including any unused balance, cannot be exchanged into cash, other assets, or electronic money, refunded, or transferred to third parties.
- The validity period of coins is 180 days from the most recent purchase or most recent use. The validity period is renewed by further purchase or use within that period.
- The number of coins consumed varies depending on the selected regulation, quality tier, ongoing campaigns, and other conditions. The latest consumption rate may be confirmed within the in-app shop.
Charging and Settlement
Purchases of coin packs are processed through the payment system of Apple App Store. Settlement processing, issuance of receipts, and first-line response to billing issues are governed by Apple Inc.'s rules.
Coins purchased are, in principle, not subject to refund or return after purchase. However, under Apple App Store's refund policy, the User may be able to request a refund directly from Apple Inc.
Prohibited Conduct
In using the App, the User must not engage in any of the following acts.
- Conduct that violates laws or public order and morals.
- Conduct related to criminal acts.
- Conduct that infringes the intellectual property rights, privacy, honor, or other rights or interests of us, other Users, or any third party.
- Conduct that interferes with the operation of the App, or that destroys or impedes our servers or network functions.
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, analyzing, modifying, or redistributing the App.
- Obtaining coins or stars by fraudulent means.
- Intentionally inducing AI characters to produce violent, discriminatory, sexual, or unlawful content, and acquiring and publishing such responses.
- Using AI-generated content obtained through the App, outside the App, in a manner that deceives us or AI providers.
- Any other conduct that we determine to be inappropriate.
Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights, including copyrights and trademarks, in the App and in all text, images, characters, audio, logos, designs, and other content contained in the App (the "Content") belong to us or to the rightful owners.
The User may use the Content only within the scope necessary to use the App and may not reproduce, reprint, distribute, modify, or sell it beyond that scope.
With respect to utterances (text and synthesized voice) generated by AI characters during play, the User may use them for private enjoyment. Commercial use, redistribution, or use as training data for AI models requires our prior written consent.
Changes, Suspension, and Termination of Service
We may, without prior notice to the User, change the content of the App or suspend or terminate its provision. We shall not be liable for any damage caused to the User or any third party by such actions.
If provision of the App is terminated, any coins and stars remaining at that time will be forfeited. We are not obliged to refund their value (responses based on the platform provider's rules are excepted).
Dependence on External Services
- In providing its functionality, the App depends on artificial intelligence services supplied by third parties, including but not limited to Google LLC (such as large language models, speech synthesis services, and other cloud services; collectively, the "External AI Services").
- We make no warranty, express or implied, as to the availability, continuity, response speed, or quality of the External AI Services, nor as to the accuracy, appropriateness, or consistency of their output, nor as to any change in their specifications.
- Even if the App, in whole or in part, becomes unavailable or fails to operate properly due to outage, suspension, delay, change of specifications, termination, filtering or truncation of output, or any other circumstance attributable to the External AI Services, we shall not be liable, and shall bear no obligation to refund or compensate any coins or stars consumed, or to provide any other consideration in return.
- If a provider of the External AI Services terminates such services, or if our contractual relationship with such a provider ends, and as a result it becomes difficult for us to continue providing the App, we may terminate the App in accordance with the preceding section "Changes, Suspension, and Termination of Service".
Disclaimer
- We make no express or implied warranty that the App or the External AI Services on which the App depends are free from de facto or legal defects (including, without limitation, defects in safety, reliability, accuracy, completeness, effectiveness, fitness for a particular purpose, security; errors; bugs; or infringement of rights).
- We shall not be liable for any damage caused to the User arising from the App or the External AI Services, except in the case of our willful misconduct or gross negligence.
- Even where we bear liability, the amount of damages shall be capped at the total amount paid by the User in connection with the App during the 12 months preceding the event in question.
User's Own Responsibility
The User uses the App acknowledging that AI utterances, synthesized voice, and reasoning results in the App may differ from fact or may contain inappropriate content. Sole responsibility for judging and using such content rests with the User.
Changes to the Terms
We may change these Terms when we deem necessary, without notice to the User. By continuing to use the App after such changes, the User is deemed to have agreed to them. Material changes will be announced within the App or on this website.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be interpreted under the laws of Japan. In the event of any dispute between the User and us concerning the App, the courts having jurisdiction over our location shall be the exclusive court of agreed jurisdiction.
